Do you believe a shorter work week would benefit you?

Can you get by earning less, if it meant you had more free time?

Do you work overtime?

Do you feel your work provides an important contribution to your community?

Do you feel overworked?

Do you think your employer would reduce your working hours, and hire someone else to fill in those hours?

As a consumer, could you buy less?

What would you do with more free time?

On a scale of 1 - 5, with 5 being most important and 1 being least important, please rate whether work is more important than leisure.

Do you have children?

If you have children, are you satisfied with the amount of time you have to spend with them?

A Roper poll conducted in 1944 found that the top four things people wanted from work were:

1. Security
2. A chance to advance
3. To be treated like a human being
4. To feel important working at something worthwhile

I wonder how these results would hold up today.
